En toen..."Purlsoho"!!! And then..."Purlsoho"!!!

"Gewoon door blijven ademen en door blijven shoppen" , kreeg ik als advies voor deze winkel ( bedankt , Angelique, ik had het nodig hoor!) Bij "Purlsoho" weet je gewoon niet waar je kijken moet, het is allemaal zo mooi en zo veel, helemaal een te gekke shop ervaring! Gelukkig was Christopher zo geduldig om mij even uit te laten razen lol. Voor ik het wist had ik nog meer Koigu KPPPM in mijn mandje ( zie foto vorige post) Ze vlogen er gewoon zo in, je kent het wel hahaha. Toen ik langs de afdeling "Knit Collage" liep was ik helemaal niet meer te houden! Actrice Katherine Heigl koopt het hier ook dus waarom ik niet... lol! Ook heb ik wat monsterstrengen gekocht van Brooklyn Tweeds "Shelter" en "Loft", erg mooie zachte tweeds!

"Just keep breathing and keep on shopping" was the advice I got for this fantastic shop. (thanks, Angelique, I needed it!) At "Purlsoho" you just don't know where to look, it is all so beautiful, so much and just such a great shopping experience! Thankfully Christopher was patient enough to let me go through the store like a tornado! Before I knew it some more skeins of Koigu KPPPM just flew into my basket! (see previous post for picture) and when I passed the "Knit Collage" section I was unstoppable! Actress Katherine Heigl buys it here too so why not moi!...I also bought some sample skeins of Brooklyn Tweeds' "Shelter" and "Loft", beautiful and soft tweeds!

Bezoek aan / Visit to NYC "String"

Wanneer je zoals ik op vakantie bent dan ga je al lang van te voren kijken welke mooie breiwinkels er ter plekke zijn. In New York City is dat niet zo moeilijk. De eerste op mijn lijstje was "String". Echt alleen maar exclusieve garens, erg mooie winkel en presentatie! Zij verkopen bijvoorbeeld Koigu 100% cashmere en Koigu 100% zijde, schitterend! Heb als monsters wat supermooie kleuren KPPPM gekocht.

When I am on holiday I of course check out the local special yarn stores. In NYC that is not so difficult. "String" was the first on my list. Exclusive yarns, presented wonderfully, in a beautiful store! They sell Koigu 100% Cashmere and Koigu 100% silk, gorgeous! I bought some Koigu KPPPM samples.

Film van Ruud Stokkel over tuinfair / tuinevenement "Westfriesland Open" in De Weere (NH).  De modeshow is samengesteld en gestyled door Marianne Schouten en alle gebreide items komen bij ons uit de winkel! Dit vond afgelopen zomer plaats en was een groot succes! De modeshow in de video begint na 6,5 minuut.


Movie by Ruud Stokkel about the Garden Fair  "Westfriesland Open"in De Weere in Holland. The Fashion show was put together and styled by Marianne Schouten and all the knitted items are from our shop! This was in summer 2010 and it was a huge success! The actual fashion show in the video starts after about 6,5 minutes.

Garens voor de "De Bonte Piet" Yarns for "De Bonte Piet".

Ik kreeg in december dit verzoek van Anouk van "De Bonte Piet" We hebben haar met twee flinke zakken garens gesponsord!

Vogel- en Egelopvang “De Bonte Piet” is een door het Ministerie van Landbouw erkend dierenopvangcentrum en is gevestigd in Midwoud. De Bonte Piet vangt jaarlijks circa 1800 gewonde en zieke dieren op, waaronder veel beschermde soorten. Het gaat hier om inheemse dieren welke leven in de vrije natuur.

De Bonte Piet is op zoek naar wol en garen en leuke restjes stof. Hier maken wij leuke knuffels, sleutelhangers en tassenhangers van en die verkopen wij voor onze dieren op onze locatie. Alle inkomsten gaan volledig weer terug naar onze dieren.

Mijn vraag aan u is of u resten wol, garen of stof zou willen doneren aan de Bonte Piet. Ik kan deze zelf komen ophalen.
