Deze zomer komt er weer een groots wildbreiproject in Hoorn. Een tipje van de sluier? Deze schaakstukken zijn omgehaakt, ik mocht van ontwerpster Brenda alvast de koning en koningin lenen voor de etalage! Bedankt, Brenda!

This summer Hoorn will be the Dutch city of yarn graffiti again! Part of this will be a crocheted game of... Designer Brenda lended me the King and Queen chess pieces for our shop window, because end of april The Netherlands will have a new King and Queen!

We hebben weer zo'n totaal 20 nieuwe kleurstellingen handgeverfd breilint Giotto binnen gekregen. Dit zijn de semi solid (net niet effen) kleuren. Nu krijg je toch zin in de lente met dit zomerse garen in deze intense kleuren? Giotto is 50% katoen, 40% rayon en 10 % nylon Pen 5 -8, € 11,95 per streng van 100 gram en 140 meter.

We just got a new shipment in of Colinette "Giotto", their hand dyed ribbon , about 20 colourways and these are the semi solid ones. This makes you feel like spring doesn't it? These rich intense colours.. Giotto is 50% cotton, 40% rayon and 10 % nylon Needles 5 -8 mm, € 11,95 per skein of a 100 grams and 140 meters.

Met Zpagetti kan je geweldige kleden knopen. Ik had 6 kleuren Zpagetti geselecteerd (afgestemd op de badkamer) en Leneke heeft er voor mij een heel kleed mee geknoopt en ik vind hem helemaal top! Kantklossen met Drops "Lace" Bobbin lace using Drops "Lace"

Mevrouw Hoogewerf liep vandaag de winkel binnen met deze zeer bijzondere creatie. Niet gebreid, niet gehaakt, maar gekantklost! Met 2 strengen van  het "Lace garen" van Drops!! 1,5 jaar aan gewerkt. Wat een respect dwingt dit af, ik heb echt nog nooit zoiets gezien, zo uniek! Bedankt

Mrs. Hoogewerf walked into the store today and showed me a fantastic creation. Not knitted, not crocheted, but made with Bobbin Lace! Using 2 skeins of Drops "Lace". This took 1,5 years to make! I have so much respect for this.. I have never seen anything like it, it's totally unique!

Catania news.

De Catania katoen is razend populair bij ons. Onlangs werden een paar kleuren door de fabrikant uit de collectie genomen, de bruin 157 (wordt veel gebruikt in amigurumi boekjes zoals "mini hondjes haken") en de donkergrijs 242. Ik was dus heel blij toen ik hoorde dat onze leverancier zelf het initiatief genomen heeft om deze belangrijke kleuren weer aan te laten verven! Ook was ik al een tijdje op zoek naar een goede grasgroen, rastagroen, kikkergroen, hoe je het noemen wilt. Ik zag hem bij de Durable "Coral"collectie dus die hebben we ook meteen ingekocht!

Two discontinued colours of the popular Catania cotton are being brought back by our wholesale distributor and we are very happy with that, they are important colours. I was also looking for a certain kind of green for crocheting frogs, rasta hats etc  I found this one in the Durable "Coral" collection and immediately bought it!

Samen met Eefke gezellig naar Hoooked in Den Haag gereden ( nog bedankt voor de lekkere thermos met warme koffie, Eefke!) ter plekke weer een prachtige collectie frisse kleuren ingekocht! Daarover later meer!
