Ik vond dit gewoon zo'n mooi gezicht, al die geweldige kleuren Drops Alpaca in een prachtige mand, wat een rijkdom...

Pure Cashmere.

Eindelijk gearriveerd... Uit de exclusieve "Linea Rossa" lijn van Lana Grossa presenteren wij je deze 100% cashmere "Solo Cashmere 110" Lana Grossa brengt twee diktes uit maar dit is de dunste, met dus 110 meter looplengte op 25 gram. We zijn al bezig met proeflapjes en volgens mijn brei-STER breit het als luxe fluweel...

Finally arrived. Marga's Noro Combo.

Onze nieuwe collega Marga nam een vrolijke tint Noro Silk Garden (87) en combineerde deze met een zwarte Merinowol (Big)van Lana grossa. Ze heeft het model zelf verzonnen. Mijn complimenten!

Our new colleague Marga took a happy shade of Noro Silk Garden (87) and combined this with a black merinowool (Big)by Lana Grossa. She designed the pattern herself. Looks great, Marga!

Kureyon Sock Cardigan by Lina 4 Grietje.

This Cardigan was machine knitted by Lina for her friend Grietje. Both valued customers of ours all the way from the Drenthe province. Kureyon sock is great for machine knitting!

Dit prachtige vestje is gebreid op de machine door Lina voor haar vriendin Grietje. Allebei gewaardeerde klanten van ons, helemaal uit Drenthe! Zoals je ziet is Kureyon Sock erg goed geschikt voor de breimachine.

Colinette Iona hat.

Deze muts heb ik van 1 streng Colinette Iona gemaakt. Wat breit dit garen lekker zeg. Vast omdat er wat zijde inzit. Het voelt gewoon lekker boterzacht aan. Het patroon staat op de banderol van een streng Iona...Laat de winter maar komen zou ik zeggen. Misschien past ie niet helemaal bij me maar ik vond het gewoon leuk om te maken. Volgens mij is dit wel herkenbaar? hehehe.

This hat I made out of 1 skein of Colinette Iona. It feels great to knit with, probably because of the silk that is in it. It feels so soft. The pattern is printed on the back of the paper band on each Iona skein. I am ready for a cold winter lol. Maybe it is not exactly my style but I found it just fun to make. I am guessing this is recognizable?

And now for something completely different...

I like simple knits. With many different materials. In colourways that feel good to me and that I can mix into a new cocktail of yarns, textures and colours. These are mostly Colinette yarns. I also put some fringe into it...

Ik hou van simpele breisels maar wel van heel veel variatie in kleur en garen. Dit is een poncho potpourri van allerlei (meest) Colinette garens. Lekker om je mee uit te leven al deze kleuren en structuren...Ik heb er ook franje in gedaan om maar eens wat mafs te noemen .

Eefke's cool Noro Kureyon poncho.

Eefke showt hier haar prachtige poncho van Noro Kureyon. Een vondst om dit geweldige garen te combineren met een Katia poncho patroon met een mouw aan 1 kant. Ze gaat er nog een losse col bij breien. Echt gaaf, Eefke! Bedankt voor je blog bijdrage!

Ik liep voorbij Didi bij ons in Hoorn en wist even niet wat ik zag. Tsja, breien is in!

I was excited to see the shop window of fashion chainstore Didi decorated with knitting items. Yes, it is hip to knit!

Martine's Indian Summer @ Home

Mijn collega Martine breit enorm veel modellen voor de winkel. Ongeveer 80% van wat u in de winkel ziet is door haar gebreid of gehaakt. Zij besteedt dus thuis menig uurtje op haar schommelbank, als het weer het toelaat, samen met poes Purkie! Hier is ze met een entrelac sjaal bezig met Noro Kureyon Sock. Heerlijk in de nazomerse tuin... Zoals je ziet houdt Purkie ook erg van deze Noro kwaliteit.

My collegue Martine knits a lot of pieces for our store. About 80% of what you see in our store has been knitted or crocheted by Martine. Thus, she spends quite a few hours knitting at home on her porch swing, if the weather allows for it, together with her cat "Purkie". On this picture she is knitting an entrelac scarf with Noro Kureyon Sock. That is just perfect in this lovely Indian summer were having here in Holland. As you can see, Purkie also loves this Noro yarn!

Ronny Gruijs is an artist and makes exceptional knitwear. This time she combined these two yarns and to be honest the photo doesn't even begin to show how beautiful this is. Loosely knitted it feels really subtle and soft.

Biggest Colinette shipment ever!

Eindelijk werd ons wachten beloond, er stonden 7 grote dozen Colinettegarens klaar om uitgepakt te worden. Dat is gewoon een feestje. Onze grootste bestelling tot nu toe! Nu gaan we dus alle hangende strengen (meer dan 500) weer netjes opdraaien en de vakken er mee vullen. In een volgend bericht zal ik daar in meer detail op in gaan.

Finally our biggest Colinette order ever arrived! Unpacking those gorgeous yarns is like a little party in our shop. Now we will transform all these hanging skeins (more than 500) into a form that we can put on our shelves. In my next entry I will go into more detail about what came in.

I'm in love!

This is me holding my new nephew Harold. He is adorable. Since my sister and her partner live in Paris (she works as an executive secretary at Disney) I had not seen him yet. But now she came over for the first time and immediately fell in love!

Omdat mijn zusje in Parijs woont, ze werkt als directie-secretaresse bij Disney, had ik mijn nieuwe neefje nog niet gezien. Ik was meteen verliefd! Dit zijn foto's van mij, mijn zus en haar partner en trotse vader Wilfrid.
